“Try this Troon Hotel”
Checked in for one night (a Saturday night) due to a celebration dinner in the seaside town of Troon. Checking in was effortless - we were assigned a large bedroom on the first floor overlooking the car park. There are no sea views from this hotel. However, the grounds surrounding the hotel are always well maintained and worth a walk around the landscaped gardens.  The bedroom was reasonably well appointed if a little 'old fashioned' in terms of furniture, fittings and fabrics. The en suite bathroom was roomy and had a large bath as well as an excellent double shower facility 

We tried both Bars in the hotel and concluded that the service was friendly and efficient with prices not too steep. Breakfast the next day was a little disappointing. The restaurant was busy but we had to ask for butter, for the toast, then for milk, for the tea and coffee. The cooked breakfast was fine in terms of choice and taste. We managed to secure an attractive weekend rate for the overnight stay - therefore, we were satisfied with the overall value for money factor

"Exceeded expectations"
Had a one night (Saturday) stay in the main hotel. The room although up in the attic was spacious and very comfortable - the bathroom was amazing. Staff could not have been friendlier.  We arrived at lunch time and were given a table in the busy restaurant - We had soup and sandwiches which were freshly made and filling. Our room was ready and we checked in early.  We dined out with friends in the evening but when we returned to the hotel at 11.45pm the lounge was in darkness. However a very friendly night porter opened the bar and served us drinks until we were ready to leave

Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, have no complaints and would recomend this hotel
